Traveling Girl

Yesterday, we took Neely to get her 1st passport. She was very good & patient, except for when she had to get her picture taken. They had her stand in front of a white screen, but every time they took her picture she would reach her hand out for the camera. Then, they decided that she should lay down on the screen for the picture. YEAH RIGHT. By that time, she was screaming. Finally, after about 20 times, we got a decent picture. It is so funny to think that she will be using this passport when she is 5! Here are Brad and Neely at Post Office:
Neely loves her Dora Car. She has been able to go backwards on it for months & she finally figured out how to make it go forward. Neely can now point out most of her body parts. This is what she does when you ask her to show you her teeth. Isn't that cute?
I am so, so glad that it is finally getting warm again! I plan on taking Neely to the park a bunch the next couple of days.

I bet it was an experience trying to get her to pose in front of the white curtain!! They must have misjudged her age!!! :)

I love the picture of her showing her teeth -- Em won't say teeth but says mouth, mouth!

I love the expression on Brad's face at the post office compared with Neely's grin. You can tell who could care less what's going on around her because she's always having a good time vs. who is thinking "How could this take so long?" because there are a million other things he could be doing. Priceless.

My kids are out playing, one is sleeping, and I'm debriefing by reading blogs- linked by Kelly. We had to have our first daughter's picture taken for a passport at 2 weeks. They wanted her eyes open. And then we need another one done for official passports. All that to say, I feel your pain!
