A few months ago, I was talking to my friend, Marlana, and we both decided that the only way we would ever consistently exercise or diet was if we would take pictures of ourselves and post them on the internet with our workout plan, so people could hold us accountable. Well that's a good theory, but I'm not quite ready for the world (or the 10 people that read this blog) to see by post-baby fat. What I am ready to do is to start a workout program again and post the details about what I did (or didn't do) and also what I am eating each day. So that all starts tomorrow. If there's not a post, please email me or comment me to remind me to get my tail in gear. (I will still continue to post adorable pictures of Neely!)

THE PROGRAM: P90X--google it ---Brad and I are both doing it.

Basically it's all about muscle confusion. It's a workout a day that focuses on a certain part of your body. It also includes a nutrition guide that I am going to try to follow. Basically we will be eating balanced meals but not stuffing ourselves silly. Unfortunately carbs are limited for the first couple of weeks.

I am super excited. My goal is to get back where I think I look good in a swimsuit. It is also to tone my midsection, hips, and thighs where I think all my fat goes. The one thing that I would really like to have are arms like Madonna's (random, I know.)

Let me give you one warning though...this could be a complete failure. The most consecutive days that I have ever worked out is 2.

A fun day at home

Since I've been slacking on taking pictures, I took a lot of pictures today. We didn't have anything planned today & I had NOTHING that I needed to do out of the house, so we just played hard at home all day long.Neely loves her ride on Zebra. Just pulled the rocks out of the fireplace--a BIG NO NO!She just got in trouble! And now resting after a long day of playing! When did you start putting blankets in the crib? I have never done it until today, but her room was so chilly & she was having a hard time sleeping. I am so paranoid about SIDS...

INSOMNIA

We have had a lazy today here at the Vestal house.
I started back doing contract work a couple months ago, and ever since then I have not been able to sleep. I had this problem when I worked full time, but never imagined that it would come back just working a little bit a week. But, at 4:00 am this morning, I could have assured you, MY INSOMNIA IS BACK. I just can't seem to turn my mind off when it's time to go to bed. So, needless to say, I did not get up at 7 to go to church this morning. The 3 of us slept in & stayed in our pajamas all day. I only have a few more weeks until I am done working again & then I plan to stay unemployed for a LONG time.

Since I was a blogging slacker around Christmas time & I have been a picture taking slacker the last few weeks, I thought I'd share some Christmas pictures:Here is Neely before our Christmas Eve Candlelight Service. You can't see her cute dress, but at least you can see her adorable face! This is my favorite face. Here she is with her 2 favorite toys from Christmas. She loves her newborn Cabbage Patch Doll and she absolutely loves her "smart chair". If you have a 1 year old, this is the best toy. It is the perfect size & Neely can occupy herself for lots of time in it!

And here she is with her favorite accessory--her red hat. If you have ever watched her for me, you know that she loves this hat. She carries it around, puts it on, takes it off...but don't try to take it away. :) I think it's really cute that she likes it right now, but it may get a little strange if she's wanting to wear it in July.
