Blog Housekeeping & A Question

I can't sleep, so I have been updating my blog lists on the side of my page (which have NEVER been updated).  I have tried to remove old links and update with any new friends I have, but I am sure that I have missed someone.  Please let me know if I have missed you.

Now, on to my question.  I am looking for a couple more good books to read on my upcoming trip.  I already have all the "fluff" books I need, but I am looking for an interesting non-fiction book (preferably about a historic time period) and a christian living book (something like Crazy Love or a study that could be done in a week).  I appreciate any suggestions I can get!

No promises, but I hope to start updating my blog with more frequency tomorrow.

You might have already read these, but a few good ones I've ready in the last year are...Same Kind of Different as Me (Ron Hall/Denver Moore), Captivating (John and Staci Eldredge), and Wild at Heart (John Eldredge). I can imagine you are super busy, but always love to read when you blog. Hope all is well!

my cousin recently suggested The Help...it's during Civil Times about the maid who is africian america, raises the children who are white. and it deals w/ her side of the story, how the children grow up call her mom but when they are older realize the whole racial thing and start being very mean to her. i tried checking it out at the library but is checked out til late this month AND has 6 hold requests on it....it must be good right???

A good book that I just finished about 4 months ago was "Inside my Heart" by Robin McGraw.
This book came out about 2-4 years ago, and it's a really good. I don't read much, besides reading to my kids but I was so glad I read and finished this book.

They're fiction, but the Beverly Lewis books are sooo good! :)

I'm stopping by to invite you over to the Arkansas Women Bloggers site. We'd love to have you link up, and are also looking for guest posters if you are interested. Also, our most recent guest post is from a blogger who does lots of book reviews on her blog, so you might find something you like there.

Have you ever read any of the Eugenia Price historical fiction books? 4 are set on St. Simons Island, GA, 3 in Savannah, GA, several more odd and end books (not a series). I love them!!!! But I love the GA coast and it's history. I have read them several times. She is a Christian and you can tell in her writings. She used extensive research for the factual side of her books, but she is great at the human interest and story side of her books.
I see that someone recommended Same Kind of Different as Me. I have not read it, but know several people that have - it is a life-changing book. I think there is a new 2nd book to follow this one up. Heard it wasn't quite as powerful as the first book.
Hope you find some wonderful books to read! (Dana Maxwell, Mary Avery's mom)
