A Busy Summer

Our last picture as a family of 3
I know that I am officially the WORST blogger ever.  I truly do have good intentions.  I think about lots of good things to blog about, but then never sit down at the computer to actually do it.
That said, we had a wonderfully busy summer.

We started the summer by adding this sweet baby to our family:

Lela Claire Vestal was born on June 10th at 6:47.  Another easy delivery that I was so very thankful for.

Neely loves loves loves her baby sister.  Lucky for her she has 2 baby sisters.  They are both named Lela.  Meet Lela #2:

It has become a little better, but for a long time every time every time someone asked Neely about her little sister.  She would tell them that her name was Baby Lela and that we left her in the car.  That is fun to explain 100 times a day.

I had scheduled lots of fun activities for Neely to do once the new baby came.  Great idea for her.  Dumb idea for me.  Do you know how hard it is to get to ballet at 9am with a 2 week old and a 3 year old?

Neely and 2 of her BFFs at ballet class:

We took an overnight trip to Little Rock on our way to Blytheville.  We watched the ducks march at the Peabody:

Rode the trolley and Neely got to ring the bell.  I know those shorts are entirely too short.

My best friend and her little girl visited us for a long weekend.

I turned 31.

We went on a train ride, which might have been the longest, hottest 2 hours of my life.

We took a long weekend and went to St. Louis:

Went to a Cardinals Game:

Went to Grant’s Farm and the zoo:

And finished the trip with a visit to our family.

I know, I know. You're surprised there's a post!

I just have to leave a comment since it a semi-annual blog! I know what you mean....I have good intentions of blogging but just fail to get it all together on the computer! But you have two very good reasons to not get it done very often!

Neely is such a doll and the new baby is precious. I think she and Hollis look like sisters with their coloring!

Loved looking at all your activities...don't know how you do it!!

I was so excited to see you blogged! I know you don't have time to do it very often but when you do it makes us all so happy!
We wish we lived closer to you!! Emerson asks about Neely ALL.THE.TIME!!!! She loves her sweet friend that "lives in "Fayville". I am trying to get her to say Rogers! Probably much easier.
Hope to see another post soon! If I don't get back in the groove; it might be a year before I post!

Welcome back! Hopefully you will keep it up. I have a hard time myself sometimes....and am about to give birth in just three weeks to our second baby girl. But I love to see how others of two survive, so maybe that will give you inspiration!
