Lela, today is your 4 month birthday!
It's hard to believe 1/3 of the first year is already gone.
You weigh 14 pounds, 6 ounces and are 25 1/4 inches long. You are much longer than your sister was, but about the same weight.
You are such a good baby, but only for your momma. You are not sweet at all for your daddy. You love the nursery at church on Sunday mornings, but not in the evenings.
You sleep all night most of the time. You go to bed around 7:30 and wake up around 6:30, eat & go back to sleep until about 8:30. And I really appreciate it.
You don't nap (also like your sister). You take 3 or 4 30 minute naps a day.
You are nursing every 2 1/2 to 3 hours. You don't eat real food yet.
You love your sister. She can always make you smile and laugh out loud.
You love love love to "talk". This makes me worry because Neely wasn't as vocal this early & I don't think anyone can talk more than her now.
You are realizing where your hands are and love to grab things (mostly your clothes) and chew on them.
It's been a quick 4 months, but we can't imagine life without you.
Here are our first 4 months of "chair pictures"
And now a funny story...
We have been working with Neely on apologizing when she does something wrong and trying to teach her to respect others' feelings. Tonight we were all in the living room and I asked her to go get me a diaper for Lela. She immediately said "I'm sorry". I asked her what she was sorry for & told her that she hadn't done anything wrong. Then she said "I said I'm sorry because I'm about to act ugly when I don't go get the diaper".
Oh my word. What can you do but laugh?
